The Walking Dead: Denise's Oat Cakes

A recipe for Denise's Oat Cakes inspired by season 6 of The Walking Dead

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups - rolled oats
  • 1 oz / 28g / 1/4 cup - brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp - butter melted
  • 1 tbsp - honey
  • 2 oz / 56g / 1/4 cup - boiling water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375F. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
  • Pulse the rolled oats in a blender or food processor until it resembles a crumbly meal. Toast the oats in the oven for 10 minute for until light golden brown. Let cool.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until it comes together. It should just slightly tacky to the touch.
  • Place the mixture onto a clean work surface and roll out until it's 1/2" thick. Punch out 2" circles with a round cutter.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
