  • GLAZE:
  • 4 cups - powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup - cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup - hot water
  • 2 tbsp - unsalted butter soft
  • shredded or desiccated coconut as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350F and grease a 6" square pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together the egg yolks, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Add the unsalted butter and mix on low speed until the flour is hydrated.
  • Slowly stream in the yolk mixture until combined. Scrape the bottom of the bowl to make sure all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Cut the cake into cubes, the size really depends on how big you want them to be!
  • Prepare the glaze by combining all the ingredients and mixing until smooth. Place cake on a fork and spoon the glaze over the cake,
  • Tap off the excess and cover with the coconut. Let it dry on a sheet rack and continue with the rest of the pieces.
