There are not many other desserts that come easier than this. This simple and classic dessert can really be served as simple as this or dress it up with some ice cream and toppings. It’s a fantastic addition to any Game of Thrones viewing party!
Game of Thrones: Baked Apples
A recipe for classic baked apples inspired by the HBO television series, Game of Thrones, and the book series, The Song of Ice and Fire, by George R.R. Martin.
Ingredients
- 4 braeburn apples halved and cored
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- zest of one lemon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- In a bowl, mix together sugar and lemon zest. Rub the zest in with your fingertips. Stir in the cinnamon until well combined. Toss the apples liberally in the sugar mixture to coat. Lay the apples cut side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Sprinkle some more of the sugar mixture on top and bake for 30-35 minutes until caramelized. Serve warm.
