MEET DEANNA
The recipes you’ll find on Feast of Starlight are inspired by the stories I love. I take inspiration from the stories I see on the the big screen, television, books, and sometimes even video games. For years, I’ve obsessed over food scenes from my favorite movie or shows wondering what the characters were feasting on. That is how this blog, Feast of Starlight, came to be. Instead of wondering, I wanted to create these amazing meals for myself and for my family and friends to enjoy.
Sometimes, depending on the story and the scene, the food can be quite horrible. Thankfully, more often then not, the food is amazing and it brings me much closer to the characters in the story than I ever imagined. We can learn so much about a character with just what he or she eats.
I currently live in the wonderful city of San Francisco, California where there is never a shortage of incredibly fresh and seasonal food. I have a background in fine dining and baking so I’m happy to be able to use those skills to create wonderful and memorable recipes for you.
I truly hope you enjoy your time here on this blog. I hope it has inspired you to get into the kitchen and share something amazing with your friends and family.
